Dr. Charmeka Newton is a psychologist and director at Legacy Mental Health Services. She is an author, coach, and DE&I speaker. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of North Dakota. Experienced in multiculturalism and training leaders and mental health professionals to build strong teams. Dr. Char holds a Ph.D. from Western Michigan University. She has also been appointed to serve on the Michigan Board of Psychology. Dr. Newton has presented at numerous conferences, including the American Psychological Association. Dr. Char has given countless in-person training and television interviews. In 2022, Michigan Psychological Association awarded Dr. Char the Distinguish Psychologist Award. In addition, in 2021, she was nominated for the West Michigan Women's Brilliance Award for Social Change. She looks forward to working with you to craft and achieve your DE&I strategy.
